What is the best text for learning Japanese?

I am trying to find an excellent and efficient text book/work book for learning Japanese that doesn’t cost 50+ dollars. Right now I have been using Japanese for Young People but there’s no English translation except for the vague dictionary in the back and I don’t have the tapes nor know where to obtain them. I’m also using a couple of books for memorizing Kanji.
Also what are some good free websites?

I want to write a letter to my Forster son school?

I have a forster son, age 12 years like my sons age and both of them are in the same class most of the time, and my forster son has big ears, that is normal to me but the kids in his school always picks on him so I end up in his school every time talking to the school boards or the teachers. The school is very good and very supportative but the kids still pick on him and he dont want me to go to the school only because kids pick on him, He says if hes own parents dont care why do anyone else have to. But it hurts me to see him because he never talks about it, if my son dont tell me then I dont know, Today my son told the bad kids if he sees anyone saying anythink to him again then he is going to beat them up.So before that happens I want to write a letter to each and every students about how it feels to be bullyed in school. Most of the time I handle things very good but I think I need my yahoo friends this time. Please think carefully because its about a kid and may be other kids too

What should i name my science fair project?

I have to do a science fair project for school. The experiment was what fabric insulates the best, wet and dry (wool was by far the best wet, and wool and polyester were about even dry). I have to put together a board for the fair, and i need an attention getting name. It should have something to do with hypothermia, because that’s the kind of reason for this–people need to know what fabric to wear in cold weather so they won’t die of hypothermia. Anyways, my mom thought of “Hypothermia: be prepared or die” and i thought of “How to not die from Hypothermia” which i guess sounds kind of unprofessional. So, long story short, please give me suggestions!

How do I get grease and oil smells off my husbands clothes?

My husband builds cranes and he has oil and grease all over his clothes and I’ve tried 5 different detergents, bleaches and fabric cleaners and the smell will not come out. How do I get rid of the smells?

How can I help my kids deal with the Christmas this year?

Two of my four children live with me, the older two live on their own. All of them are having a hard time coping with the fact that I am not going to be in the house they were raised in for Christmas due to a divorce. Their father fought to keep the house, so we are living in an apartment. Their father has decided to do Christmas for his family, and my kids are not happy going there knowing I won’t be there.. This was always a holiday I made special for them. Because were are now living in an apartment we can no longer decorate and use the big tree we always had. Things are quit different for them now and my finances are bad. Does anyone have any ideas what I can do for them to make this a memorable good Christmas for them?
I should mention that my sons are 22, 20, 19 and my daughter is 17. I thought because they were older this would be easier for them and but it really isn’t. It has been the tradition and all they have known since birth for all of them.

How would I go about getting commerical jobs as a photographer?

I was wondering if most large companies likeBaby/Kids Gap, Babies r us, etc etc go through agencies to hire their photographers? I am wanting to do a lot of editorial and commercial work, I specialize in children’s photography. I have a lot of people who tell me my work is more commerical/editorial than portrait. How would I go about getting my work noticed by these companies that cater to children.
