I can’t stop thinking about the sick kids and hungry people of the world?

this is getting in the way of me and God, I used to have so much faith and love and felt great
No Commentsthen one day it dawned on me….at this very moment there are babies in pain, kids freezing outside with no home or being beaten…..and my tears welled up and my heart and spirit broke
i give to charity but still feel helpless, this happened almost a year ago and I can’t get this closeness back, I can’t STOP THINKING about the suffering of these kids, it makes me sick and i can’t even pray anymore
How do i reconcile with god, how can i heal my broken spirit when I can’t even sleep at night thinking about this

What modern day items have ruined basic learning skills of children?

Things have changed a lot over the years. Things that I learned as a child are not the same now, and that IS to be expected I suppose. But what about things like velcro shoes? If children wear these all the time, they never learn to tie their own shoes. And what about digital clocks? There have been so many children I have met that can’t tell me what time it is unless there is a digital clock nearby.
What other things in our society have changed that have also slowed down the way children learn the basics?

Question for creationists and human races?

If evolution never existed. If God created everything. If he/she/it created man from mud and women from a rib. Explain to me please, what colour of skin were Adam and Eve? And how did all the different human races appeared? If you don’t believe in evolution means you don’t believe in adaptation, so you shouldn’t believe in genetics and mutations. So what? Did they had a kid from each different ethnic and then they traveled to Aria, America… In fact they should have had two of each to preserve the ethnic groups. and then they would have to have children between brothers and sisters. MMMh. Isn’t that a sin? So please, if you say this is only a metaphor, please explain to me HOW ALL OF THIS HAPPENED IF NOT WITH EVOLUTION?

I took my daughter in Miami for a “so called” audition for major TV/modeling relating to Disney and Nickelodeon. We attended a presentation where this tallent scouts , one of them from California explained the incredible jump into the “celebrity life stile our families could access if our kids ended up selected for the casting. The kids did a camera test, I was told in particular that my daughter looked very interesting for print work and possible for starting couchig training in singing ( she never sang to them). What sounded fishy for me was the very intense remarkes they made as of making hte kids earn 15 grands a week, suddenly driving a hummer and moving to a mansion in beverly hills ( those were the promises, and of course that made the kids very interested) A brochure was given to us a s informative, there was a list of training and prices the least expensive was 2,000 for several weeks…. for more info type john robert powers in yahoo search…sounds like scam to me.

Have any of you contracted roundworm from your pet?

We have an adorable 5 month old puppy who was just diagnosed with roundworm. I am very concerned about my children or I contracting it. The stories on the web are scary. I’m wondering if someone out there has actually contracted it. Also, I’m wondering if folks who’ve had dogs with worms have scrubbed their entire house? Our puppy poops in the yard and we clean it up although I think my kids have missed a few small poops–now I’m worried the entire yard is contaminated and we should all stay out of it. This is really getting to me!!!!!

New Years Eve in Orlando With Kids?

We would like to spend New Years Eve in Orlando with the kids (2 and 4) but everyone says that crowds are too heavy. Is there a hotel where we can stay that have activities at night for the whole family, or is there any place out of the parks that we can go on the 31st. By the way, do parks open on the 1st? Thanks a lot.
