I am dating a single father and I haven’t been around kids that much as an adult (I am 27, with no kids, never been married), any tips? He has a 2 yr old, 5 yr old and 8 yr old. How do you think I could get better at interacting with them/ playing with them? any tips, books, advice you’ve got will be aprreciated.

has anyone here watched the movie “The Karate Kid”? well in the first movie (there are 4 movies of it) in the first movie at the end of the final scene in the movie when daniel wins the tournament, mr. miyagi has a happy face on and then the movie ends. it just gets to me and makes me cry because throughout the whole movie, mr. miyagi has a serious face all the time and then at the end of the movie his face is acutally very happy looking and it makes me cry tears of joy. please dont tell me its just a girl thing, i actually really dont care of you have the same problem. what i need to know is how can i control myself and not think about the movie in that way and just go on with my day after watching the movie without thinking about the movie and it makng me cry? i dont want to think about the movie the whole day after seeing it anymore! i dont want to cry anymore after seeing the movie! please tell me how i can stop please please!!

Why does my hubby try and make me feel like being a S@HM of 4/PT preschool teacher is “less” than what he does

I am a stay at home mom of 4 and I work part time as a preschool teacher. All of the house responsibilities are mine. My husband feels that because he works all day, he doesn’t have to do anything when he gets home. Nothing. No laundry, no dishes, no cleaning. “He works all day” and I “stay home and have all the free time”. It’s very depressing. I feel extremely overwhelmed and tell him, he will give me a hug and say he’s sorry but nothing changes. I’ve suggested his trading places with me but it will never happen. When I do go out with friends (which is probably once a year and I’m made to feel guilty that I went), he does absolutely nothing. So I “get to go out” but then have to come home to a mess because he didn’t have time to clean. How does he expect me to do it all with no help? He just tells me that’s why I need to teach the kids to help. Why can’t he help too? I am at the end of my rope and would like some advice. I do love him very much, I’d just like some help

I am 20 years old. Me and my husband have been married for almost two years now, we’ve been together for 3 years. For the last 6 months our relationship has been deteriorating… I’m lucky if my husband has *** with me once a week… I feel like he has no interest in me at all anymore. He used to be so clean showered twice a day, it’s amazing if he showers once a week… He spends most of his at home time with the computer playing games online… I try really hard to get his attention… If I walk into the room ***** he’ll look over at me, say something and go back to the computer… I can’t even explain all the times I’ve told him my feelings about this. and he’ll change for about a week or so and then go back to this… I’m so tired of talking… And it’s not like he’s stressed out, we’re young and we have no kids… he works a regular 9 to 5 job and gets the weekends off… I just don’t understand what I’m doing wrong???

Advice on teaching preschooler to read?

My son will be 4 years old in June. I have been reading to him at least once a week, usually more weekly. He has lots & lots of books he likes to look at & act like he is reading. I was just wondering how to get him started on reading. Also, does reading & writing come together or do I need to start with reading & then move to writing? Any tips would be grateful. Thanks!
