Looking for a good game for younger kids along the lines of Myst, Sam and Max, etc?
August 17th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I’m looking for a good critical-thinking adventure game for my son, age 5 to mess around with. I’ve specifically thinking about Myst since he could pall around with the puzzles even if he couldn’t necessarily solve them.
Also I remember playing Sam and Max Hit the Road and Day of the Tentacle when I was younger and LOVED them, however I remember there being alot of adult humor and silly violence in both.
So my question is, can you suggest a great adventure game that would be fun for a 5 year old to just explore the worlds?

Anyone have any idea the name of a summer vacation workbook and craftbox for kids?
April 27th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I bought one last year for my son when he got out of Kindergarten but I don’t remember the name or who it was made by. They offered it through school but I know they had a website. My check register just shows “Summer Vacation”.
I know they offer it for each school year up to maybe 6th or so. It was around $25-$30.
It’s a spiral bound book with 2 pages for each day of the summer of activities (word find, missing objects, math, coloring, spelling etc) and it also comes with a box of craft things for open ended crafts.
They never sent a thing out this year from school and my son’s teacher couldn’t find it for me?
It was a lot of fun for him and it kept him brushed up on his skills but in a fun way!
If anyone knows of the site or where to order it, please let me know.
I’m not looking for daycare curriculum’s or home schooling etc.
Thanks in advance.

Do fat kids usually get teased in gradeschool and highschool?
March 10th, 2009 Posted by: admin
Well, im a fat kid. I know its a blunt way of saying it but its true. And im reading this book right now. Called Keeping the Moon by Sarah Dessen. And i mean, its a good book. Its about this teen who used to be overwegith, lost weight and is now trying to get over all of her other issues. So, it goes back to when seh was teased alot. Saying she had no friends and eveyrone made fun of her and she was just terribly lonely. And im not that way at all. I have friends.. i mena, im not one of the most popular ones, but i highly doubt i WOULD be even if i WAS super thin and tiny. I might not have a boyfriend, but alot fo people dont. Its not like a big deal. And ive never really been teased for it.
No CommentsI was wondering if this was common. I mean, the teasing. Like, do overweiht kids usually get teased and was i just extremely fortunate to go to the schools that i did and meet the friends that i have?? Or are these books just exagerating it and making it seem 10 time worse than it really is?? Help please..thanks you!
Umm, yeah. SO whats that supposed to mean.. “they dont care how i look”. I know that you were trying to be nice.. but thats a terible phrase to say.. i mean, you dont even KNOW what i look like? What if i was someone who was really sensitive? I would totally be upset abotu that. So in the future, avoid that phrase. It doesnt make anyone feel better.

Do you have any ideas for making a board game about Romeo and Juliet that is fun and educational?
February 27th, 2009 Posted by: admin
Some turning points and penalty ideas for the game would be cool. Also, what do you think about them earning points and then whoever has the highest gets true love and the rest get poison? not to be morbid or anything..
