is it ok to let your kids have a day of sweets?

I just got a job babysitting for this really sweet couple who has 4 girls and 2 boys, all running around like they took a shot of adrenaline laced with mountain dew. I’ve never seen more hyper kids, but they’re very well behaved actually. They rarely hit each other and if I ask them to do things they always obey.

Anywho she seems like a good mom, but there’s just one thing I’m not sure about…

She calls Saturday…Suga’ Suga’ Sataday!!! She says it all ghetto and loud to get the kids hyped up. Sunday - Friday she has them eating super healthy meals with lots of veggies and fresh fruits and whole grains. She’s very strict during those days. Then if they eat all their veggies all week and behave, on Saturday they can eat all junk food and sweets and soda. It seems to work since they never ask for sweets during the week, and they behave so well. She says it gives them incentive, and that she thinks 1 day a week wont hurt them.

Does anyone agree/disagree?
For the record, they are the most loving children ever, and you cant truly say the sugar day has anything to do with them being hyper, since they are hyper 24/7 7 days a week.
They do NOT overeat on Saturdays, they eat the same amount they would any day, its just that instead of real meals they eat brownies and ice cream, but in the end it probably evens out the same calorie wise.

Why do girls twitch their foot or shoe when their legs are crossed?

Ladies i notice when girls are sitting with their legs crossed that they always begin to twitch their foot that is crossed over really fast from side to side.Sometimes the girl will dangle her shoe or sandal to her toes and give the shoe a twitch instead of the foot why is that? If girls dont twitch the foot they twitch their shoe.

Why do so many girls need to be assured that they are pretty by random strangers online?

Regarding all of the questions titled “Am i pretty? (pics!!)”. It seems that anytime of the day you can look though questions and find several of these. Mostly asked by girls, but a few guys do it too. These people are very good-looking more often than not, so why would they want the opinions of people who mean nothing to them?

how can i get my toddlers off of formula if they won’t drink whole milk?

i’ve tried everything. my girls are 13 months old. they won’t drink the whole milk. i’ve flavored it, put it into a cup instead of bottle but nothing works. i have even done half formula and half milk. but nothing.
please help.

What is the trick these days for dating after 40, i have two kids, and i won’t settle?

I have two kids, a job, and a new career in motion. I like to do things, and i am easy going, and i don’t think i am that hard to look at either. So what gives. I know these days girls are very aggressive, i am not like that. Are guys looking for that aggressive girl? Just curious what you’re all thinking.

how weird is the show 17 kids and counting?

i was watching it today and i thought it was just rediculous. no tv, no computer, homeschooled, the girls wear those hideous jean skirts. it is just all so weird to me i got mad watching it.. and the oldest cant kiss his fiance until they get married *** is up with that..what is wrong with those people

Day care woes?

My son is really hating daycare lately. He is 7yr so too young to be home alone. He is the only school age kid at his daycare and gets really bored. I tried supplying him with puzzle books, coloring things, plus he has homework to do. At daycare they have snack , watch tv, and play outside. Its not the greatest daycare in the world activity wise but he is well taken care of, its close enough that he can walk from school, and the sitter is very kind and understanding. He is only there 2 maybe 21/2 hrs a day. Any ideas on how to make it more enjoyable or on new activities he can do with little adult help and safe around toddlers?
I looked for a babysitter. Girls here make around $10/hr for babysitting so that didn’t work well. Unfortunately in a college town with lots of professionals babysitting rates are horrid.

Weird “lullaby” used in scary movies?

I’m just wondering what that kids lullaby is that is used occasionally in horror/scary movies. I know its used at the end of both “hide and seek” and also “the dead girl”

I can’t figure it out and i cant find it on google. I know its a childrens rhyme though because I’ve sang it to my girls before…
